HOUSTON, TX -
Providing extraordinary value to community is an integral aspect of Barrios’ mission and values. Tom Cavalli, Business Development Manager, from Barrios’ Colorado office was recently chosen for a very prestigious Air Force Association (AFA) National award, the Chairman’s Citation. This award is given to AFA members whose distinguished contributions to AFA in a specific field has improved and elevated the effectiveness of the Association in a national sense, above and beyond the level of other awards. No more than 10 Chairman Citations are awarded each year, and this year only eight members were selected. Tom is the AFA Chapter President of the Colorado Springs Chapter, the 3rd largest AFA chapter in the world with over 2,800 active members. In addition, his chapter was also chosen as the Outstanding Extra Large Chapter of the Year for 2009. Tom will be presented his award at the AFA National Convention in Washington DC in September. Last year, Tom led his chapter to be selected as the AFA Unit of the Year garnering the Association’s top award for all the 288 chapters worldwide. Tom completes his two-year term as President of the Lance P. Sijan Chapter in October 2009.
