Barrios employee Taryn Chastain was awarded the Engineering & Science Contract Group (ESCG) STAR Award. She was recognized for her exceptionally hard work as lead for the Acceptance Data package (ADP) Team while maintaining her status as an ADP author and providing a large quantity of high-quality products with few or no significant comments. Her dependability and resourcefulness are of great value to her manager. Taryn’s hard work, sound judgment, and excellent decision-making skills have gained her the respect of fellow workers and the integrated project teams.

Taryn was presented the award at an STS-131 prelaunch breakfast while attending the STS-131 launch at the Kennedy Space Center as an ESCG launch guest.

The STAR Award recognizes ESCG employees who have contributed significantly to the success of ESCG goals and objectives and to the contract mission. Winners are selected by the Office of the General Manager (OGM) with input from department directors.
