Barrios employee Lance Hoang was recently recognized by United Space Alliance for his efforts as part of the Change Request Workflow Redesign Team. This team received the 2009 Fourth Quarter Quest for Excellence - Administrative Excellence Award for their efforts in streamlining the Change Request Workflow (CRW) process.

Hoang served as the software developer for the four-member team. All of whom worked tirelessly to develop and implement a single new and innovative CRW software tool that increased the NASA customers’ satisfaction and improved process efficiency across multiple organizations. In the early part of 2007 the team identified a business need to combine the four legacy systems in to single more efficient program. Since the initial release in 2008, positive feedback and additional organizations requested to be part of the improvement process.

In the STS-127 crew debrief, crew members stated that the new systems was “great” as it streamlined the process for them to review and approve procedures for their flight ensuring safety and success in all aspects of the mission.
