NASA Johnson Space Center has awarded Barrios Technology the Mission Integration Contract (MIC) signaling a continued partnership between the agency and the aerospace technology company.

The contract, starting October 1, has a potential value of $273 million. The basic period of the firm fixed price/indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract is five years and three months, with two one-year extension options.

“We are extremely pleased to have the opportunity to build on our six years of experience providing mission integration services for NASA’s International Space Station program. This award allows us to continue our mission of delivering extraordinary value to our customers, employees, and the community” said Sandy Johnson, Barrios Technology President and CEO.

Barrios will utilize the existing incumbent workforce to support the contract objectives to provide products and services that support mission planning, mission integration, mission operations, international partner integration, and Russian language and logistics services. TechTrans International, Inc. is a major subcontractor leading the international integration services. Ares Corporation is a minor subcontractor supporting risk management.

Work will be primarily performed at or near NASA's Johnson Space Center in Houston and Kennedy Space Center in Florida. Work also will be performed at other locations in and outside of the United States, including Russia and Kazakhstan.
