Examples of Services Provided:

We develop, prepare, distribute, and verify flight products for each mission. These products include flight or mission rules and databases e.g., flight and operations data files. Our support services include flight design, payload integration and mission utilization, flight crew operations and integration, strategic and tactical planning, on-orbit operations assessments and integration, flight planning, cargo manifest development, and development of system operation concepts.

Barrios flight controllers work in mission control monitoring sensors and systems for the Space Shuttle and International Space Station. Guidance and navigation, communications, environmental control, life support and all vehicle operating systems are monitored and responses to anomalies quickly provided.

Barrios supports integrated systems and subsystem testing efforts.
Our engineers have a thorough knowledge of vehicle subsystem hardware, software, and interfaces.

For NASA's International Space Station (ISS), Barrios:

 • Develops tactical plans, identifying essential tasks and providing requirements for
supplies, crew, and assembly hardware
• Defines, integrates, and documents ISS mission requirements and priorities
• Updates analyses and replans on-orbit activities and launch vehicle schedules
as unplanned events occur
• Provides oversight and interfaces with launch vehicle organizations,
ensuring cargo is delivered as planned
• Coordinates with international partners and external institutions to obtain multilateral agreements for processes and products
• Works real-time operational issues, providing program guidance and reporting
• Delivers post-flight reports of accomplishments and results.

Other technical services for the ISS include imagery management and on-orbit stowage management. Barrios acquires, processes and distributes the images of ISS hardware as it is built, assembled, integrated, and operated. We provide stowage integration based on requirements across the ISS Program that includes technical expertise relating to the external ISS configuration allocated for stowage. Our engineers integrate and document ISS power, data, and video connectivity requirements, developing schematics and diagrams for management of the systems.
