Our experienced personnel understand the latest training technologies and how
to leverage those capabilities for cost effectiveness. We have extensive experience
in developing multi-media, computer-based and web-based training, and are
experienced in the technologies and instructional techniques used for distance
learning. Our expertise in all types of training,
whether classroom-based, simulator-based, or distance learning, ensures training solutions that
are well suited to our client's objectives and culture. Our staff adhere to training requirements
while conducting cost benefit analyses to guarantee that the best and most affordable solution is provided.
Barrios personnel take a disciplined, project management approach to developing new
course material. Beginning with the analysis and definition of the requirements and flowing
through the scheduling of the various components of course development, a training project
is defined and managed.
We design and develop courses for instructors using a Barrios-designed Instructor
Training Course. We provide the training and evaluate the performance of the
instructor. Based on specific client requirements, we also offer an instructor
certification program to ensure that instructors have mastered their topic
and instructional techniques.

Our staff of experienced professionals evaluate our client's existing training
to determine effectiveness and completeness. Our evaluations include
recommendations as to improvement of course content, presentation formats,
and instructional techniques. We develop evaluations to determine the
student's mastery of the course content as well as evaluations of course delivery.
Barrios Technology has developed and provided Space Flight training
since our company's inception in 1980. We have developed and conducted effective hands-on
training for custom software applications. Since 1989, Barrios personnel have
been instrumental in the formation of training programs for Space Shuttle and
International Space Station (ISS) crewmember and mission controller personnel.
In conjunction with this effort, we developed methodologies and processes
for producing training products across the ISS program. Barrios personnel also
developed and implemented the Space Flight version of the Instructor
Training Course, where technical engineers develop classroom and simulator instructional
skills for astronaut training.
Another example of specialized training is the Space Flight Resource Management
course. It specifically focuses on high-stress, rapid-response environments. The
course provides team-based training to teach teams how
to deal with errors and the appropriate ways to communicate
and interact in high stress situations. This course, delivered by Barrios
personnel, is provided to all flight controllers and the astronaut corps.
