Robert (Robbie) McAfoos
Chief Advisor

Robbie McAfoos is Chief Advisor for Barrios Technology. Over his 20-year plus
career with Barrios, he has gained unique insight into the industry, enabling him to
share key learnings with the executive team and focus attention on special projects
that show growth potential and continue to grow the Barrios brand.
As previous Vice President of Engineering and Technical Services, Robbie provided
executive leadership to the Program and Project Management teams responsible for
delivery of products and services to aerospace prime contractors. He was also the
executive sponsor of Barrios’ systems engineering services provided to industries
outside of the aerospace market.
Robbie has served in positions spanning Technology Development, Business
Development, Contracts Management and multiple roles as a Program Manager for NASA prime contracts. He was also President of Barrios for four years performing a key role in company succession planning.
Robbie holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Tennessee and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Minnesota. He also has Project Management Professional and Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certifications.
He has previously served as the Chair of the Bay Area Houston Economic Partnership (BAHEP), is a member of the Board of Directors for Community in Schools Bay Area, and is active in the Gulf Coast INCOSE chapter. Robbie also serves as a member of the emerging technology forum for the American Petroleum Institute (API) and is a proud father and grandfather, who enjoys time on the water, jogging and being active.
