Vice President – Growth
Chelsey serves as the Vice President of Growth at Barrios Technology, where she is responsible for driving both the strategic vision and tactical execution of the company’s growth initiatives. She defines, leads, and operationalizes growth strategies across key markets, ensuring alignment with organizational goals while delivering measurable revenue and market expansion outcomes. In this role, Chelsey acts as a cross-functional leader, partnering closely with executive leadership across the services and operational divisions to identify opportunities, capture new business, and strengthen the company’s competitive position.
PROFESSIONAL CAREER
Chelsey Bussey is a growth-focused executive and aerospace industry leader currently serving as Vice President of Growth at Barrios Technology. With more than a decade of experience supporting human spaceflight programs, she brings a unique blend of technical expertise, program leadership, and strategic vision to advancing organizational growth and market expansion.
Chelsey began her career with Barrios supporting NASA Johnson Space Center, where she spent approximately 14 years contributing to some of the most significant initiatives in modern space exploration. During her tenure, she supported programs tied to the International Space Station, contributed to the evolution of commercial low Earth orbit initiatives, and played a role in the early development and expansion of the Artemis program. This experience provided her with a systems-level understanding of complex, mission-driven environments and exposure to critical milestones in human spaceflight.
Most recently, Chelsey served as Deputy Program Manager supporting NASA’s Mission Technical Integration Contract (MTIC), where she played a key role in program execution, stakeholder coordination, and operational performance across complex mission environments. She also previously served as Deputy Program Manager on the Human Space Flight Technical Integration Contract (HSFTIC), contributing to the successful delivery of critical integration and analysis services in support of NASA’s human spaceflight programs.
At Barrios, Chelsey has held multiple leadership roles supporting NASA programs, building a reputation for driving collaboration, improving performance, and delivering results. Her career reflects a progression from technical contributor to executive leader, grounded in a deep understanding of the aerospace industry and a commitment to advancing innovation and exploration.

FAMILY
Chelsey lives in the Clear Lake area with her husband, three children, and two dogs. Outside of work, she is in full mom mode—often found at the volleyball court or baseball field cheering on her kids. She also enjoys spending time outdoors and prioritizes living a healthy lifestyle. In the rare quiet moments she finds, Chelsey enjoys getting lost in a good book.
