Barrios Technology Secures Multi-Year NASA Mission Technical Integration Contract

NASA’s Johnson Space Center has awarded the Mission Technical Integration Contract (MTIC) to Barrios Technology, reaffirming a trusted, decades-long partnership between the space agency and the Houston-based aerospace technology and engineering services company.

The MTIC contract represents the continuation of Barrios’ legacy in human spaceflight support and is the follow-on to the Human Space Flight Technical Integration Contract (HSFTIC), which Barrios has successfully executed since 2020.

Under MTIC, Barrios will provide comprehensive technical and management support to some of NASA’s most critical human spaceflight programs, including the International Space Station (ISS), the Orion and Gateway Programs, and potentially other emerging human spaceflight initiatives.

Kelly Page, President

“We are incredibly proud to have been selected by NASA to continue working side by side with them in shaping the future of human space exploration,” said Kelly Page, President of Barrios Technology. “This award is a testament to the passion, hard work, and extraordinary value that our Barrios family brings every single day. As the second-generation leader of Barrios, I am honored to carry forward our legacy in human spaceflight. This is not just another contract award – it is the continuation of a generational commitment to our NASA customers and their critical missions.”

The contract includes support for program, business, configuration and data management, information technology, systems engineering and Integration, mission integration, safety and mission assurance, and operations.

Barrios will lead the contract with support from a skilled and trusted team of subcontractors: ARES Technical Services Corp., Booz Allen Hamilton, Intuitive Machines, Summit Technologies & Solutions, and TechTrans International (TTI). The existing incumbent workforce will continue supporting operations at Johnson Space Center, ensuring continuity and deep program knowledge.

This cost-plus-award-fee and cost-plus-incentive fee contract with core and indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity requirements is valued at approximately $450 million and will begin on October 1, 2025, and end on September 30, 2027, along with four one-year option periods through 2031.

Barrios has a proud legacy of supporting NASA’s human spaceflight missions. Beyond its work on the ISS, Orion, and Gateway programs, Barrios plays a vital role in a range of advanced exploration systems that are paving the way for the future of space exploration. The company also contributes to several key commercial space partnerships, further extending its impact across the evolving spaceflight landscape.
