Wendy Babb, Project Coordinator – MTIC
Wendy Babb exemplified outstanding leadership in the planning and execution of a complex, multi-phase workforce relocation for the Habitat and Logistics Outpost (HALO) office. By anticipating challenges early and proactively delivering solutions, she ensured continuity of operations and mission success. Her strategic planning, strong coordination, and collaborative approach enabled seamless relocations with minimal disruption to team productivity. Wendy’s dedication to excellence and operational effectiveness reflects the core values of Barrios and NASA while setting a high standard for performance.
Flavio Citti, Gateway Mission Integrator – MTIC
Flavio Citti is recognized for his outstanding leadership in guiding the Gateway Lunar Transit mission through a critical transition from design-focused efforts to mission planning and execution. At a pivotal stage in the program, he led the effort to clearly define the mission and establish the integration of products and frameworks necessary to support effective planning and informed decision-making. Flavio’s leadership and strategic direction were instrumental in advancing mission readiness and program success.
Robert Hester, Lead SSRMS Analysis Team – JETS
Robert Hester is recognized for his exceptional leadership, technical expertise, and professionalism as lead of the Space Station Remote Manipulator System (SSRMS) analysis team. During a significant organizational transition, including the transfer of VV release analysis and Force Closure Analysis responsibilities to the Canadian Space Agency, Robert ensured continuity, accuracy, and mission success while strengthening international collaboration. His proactive leadership in knowledge transfer, process adaptation, and team coordination enabled a seamless transition of critical analysis responsibilities, directly supporting NASA objectives and enhancing operational readiness. Robert’s dedication, innovation, and leadership exemplify the high standards recognized by the BEAR Award.
Andres Correa Martinez, SSC Software Load Engineer – IMOC
Andres Correa Martinez is recognized for his exceptional initiative, adaptability, and rapid technical growth. Despite being a junior team member, he consistently takes on complex challenges, quickly develops new skills, and delivers reliable results that support IMOC, ISS Program, and OPS LAN mission needs. He recently achieved OPS LAN MER certification in record time while maintaining his full operational responsibilities, providing critical capability to a resource-constrained team. Andres’ proactive mindset, resilience, and strong technical contributions make him highly deserved for the BEAR Award recognition.
Andrew Shaner, Gateway Meeting Services Lead – MTIC
Andrew Shaner is recognized for his leadership and initiative in enhancing Gateway Meeting Services operations. He successfully led the transition to Meeting Hub, streamlining and centralizing meeting materials to improve efficiency and alignment with Moon2Mars programs while supporting smooth team adoption through training. Andy also navigated complex challenges involving International Partners and implemented solutions to address missing historical records, ensuring uninterrupted customer support. His problem-solving, collaboration, and dedication to service excellence exemplify the standards recognized by the BEAR Award.
Anson Varghese, Solutions Engineer – MTIC
Anson Varghese is recognized for his instrumental leadership in advancing the Integrated Risk Management System (IRIS) as a modern, standardized risk management platform for NASA. In Q3 of FY2025, he successfully led the team through the complex delivery of IRIS for the SLS program, navigating last-minute requests, custom code development, intricate permission structures, budget constraints, and competing priorities. His dedication, resilience, and strong work ethic enabled the team to exceed customer expectations and continue expanding IRIS capabilities across NASA programs.
Marganette Williams, Project Coordinator – CPSS PC
Marganette Williams is recognized for her extraordinary service, compassion, and commitment to supporting the NASA Johnson Space Center workforce during the government shutdown. Her efforts assisted more than 400 employees, provided food support to 225 JSC families, and helped connect team members with short-term employment opportunities during a time of uncertainty. Marganette’s dedication, empathy, and commitment to service exemplify Barrios’ core values while strengthening both the NASA and Barrios communities. Her impactful contributions were personally recognized by the JSC Center Director, highlighting the exceptional difference she made.
