Through contributions that range from modernizing systems and refining technical practices to strengthening collaboration and advancing mission outcomes, these team members continue to elevate Barrios Technology’s influence across the space industry.

EC Analyst Team (Kelley Evans and Jennifer Hauschild), Export Control Analysts – MTIC

Jennifer and Kelley quickly developed a strong understanding of the Program by actively engaging with documentation, stakeholders, and team forums, enabling them to identify and implement export control process improvements.

During the October 2025 government shutdown, they ensured continuity of export control operations supporting critical work while also addressing broader program needs. Kelley managed a Gateway Program software development effort for a customized EXPRT tool module, while Jennifer handled a high volume of export control inquiries and requests. Their efforts maintained project momentum and resulted in continued responsibility for the task after the shutdown.

Jennifer also became the first contractor Export Control Representative (ECR) at Johnson Space Center, with Kelley becoming certified shortly after, strengthening their ability to fully manage the EHP export control process end to end.

gCAMMP Team (Joseph Rooney, Corey Small and Jeanette Snyder) – MTIC

The Gateway Configuration Analysis Modeling & Mass Properties (gCAMMP) team has significantly enhanced its “Plot the Universe” (PtU) tool, elevating it from a valuable data visualization and planning resource into a critical asset for mission planning and development. These recent improvements expand the tool’s capabilities and reinforce the gCAMMP team’s value, positioning both as essential contributors to current and future NASA programs.

ISS Comm Team (Diana Garcia, Chris Getteau, Christine Giraldo and Nicole Rose) – MTIC

ISS Research Communications Team delivered a high-impact, Agency-wide communications campaign supporting NASA’s International Space Station 25th Anniversary, translating 25 years of microgravity research into accessible, high-visibility global content and elevating more than 155 science visibility assets.

The team led planning efforts nine months in advance, coordinated bi-weekly with the Office of Communications and partners, and executed a five-month production cycle delivering seven major multimedia products, including feature stories, a crew-filmed station tour, and infographics highlighting key scientific breakthroughs. Despite operational disruptions, they maintained full schedule and quality, producing over 52,000 page views, 124,000 social media engagements, and 5.3 million video views, significantly strengthening public awareness of the ISS as a premier microgravity research platform.

Jack Harding, Software Test Lab Specialist – CPSS PC

Jack Harding consistently demonstrates exceptional performance through innovation, proactive problem-solving, and a strong commitment to customer success. He anticipates operational challenges and takes initiative to implement solutions that keep testing on track, such as maintaining optimal lab conditions to prevent environmental disruptions.

His technical expertise and resourcefulness were especially evident during a critical chiller failure, where he independently diagnosed and repaired the issue preventing schedule delays and saving the customer significant cost. A dependable and collaborative team member, Jack enhances overall team performance by sharing his knowledge and supporting others, making him a highly valued contributor recognized by both his peers and leadership.

Laura McAfoos, Budget Analyst – MTIC

Laura demonstrated exceptional innovation by leading the development of Power BI financial dashboards that transformed how data is managed and utilized across the division. By consolidating hundreds of reports into integrated, user-friendly tools, she streamlined workflows, improved data accuracy, and enabled faster, more informed decision-making.

Her process improvements significantly reduced manual effort saving dozens of hours each month while enhancing transparency, consistency, and forecast reliability. Through her proactive approach and high standards, Laura delivered scalable solutions that strengthened financial visibility, improved efficiency, and supported better resource management across the organization.

Stuart McClung, HALO Production Integration Lead/Orion Spacecraft Test Branch Lead – MTIC

Stuart demonstrated exceptional initiative and leadership by supporting multiple programs across NASA centers and a Northrop Grumman facility, ensuring seamless operations during a critical phase of the Artemis II mission. Balancing responsibilities across Gateway, Orion, and HALO integration efforts, he maintained continuity of work through effective planning, coordination, and delegation while frequently traveling to support mission-critical activities.

His contributions to verification planning, integration support, and cross-program collaboration were instrumental in preparing the Orion capsule for launch. Recognized by NASA customers as a trusted leader and subject matter expert, Stuart’s performance reflects a strong work ethic, technical excellence, and the ability to successfully manage complex priorities in support of mission success.
